rmadridphoto.com 2.0

When I think back to the first version of rmadridphoto (2006), it was built during a different season of life. That site carried weddings, portraits, and commercial jobs, which I was proud of. But after quietly closing it down, I thought I had left that chapter behind for good. I was so excited for my new adventure. For years, I didn’t feel the need for a place to share my photos. My hard drives became my gallery, and my memories (for better or worse) carried the stories.

Since 2017, something has been pushing me little by little to focus on photography and storytelling. When I started this new project in March 2025, the twist was that this was 100% on my terms.

Photography, for me, has always been about capturing people, moments, and causes that matter. And now, I realize I need a place to share those stories in a way that feels intentional.

This new site isn’t about going back to where I was in 2017. It’s about moving forward with a clearer vision, one that is more focused on photo essays, portraits, and documentary-style projects that highlight people, organizations, and communities. It's a place where images and words come together to create something lasting.

Will it be work to maintain? Absolutely. But the thought of keeping my stories hidden on a hard drive feels like a bigger loss. So here I am, rebooting the “old machine,” but with a new engine.

In the months ahead, I’ll be sharing projects that matter deeply to me—starting with a story I’ve been working on quietly behind the scenes. My hope is that this site becomes more than a portfolio; I want it to be a space where stories breathe, where connections are made, and where the camera continues to do what it’s always done best for me: remind us that every person, every place, every moment has value.
