On May 1st, I had an awesome opportunity to be apart of a benefit show, which was located at PBA ( Palm Beach Atlantic ) campus.  The show was held for the organization called LOVE146.org. 

For those of you who don't know, LOVE 146 is an organization that works toward the abolition of child sex slavery and exploitation through Prevention and Aftercare.

last year, I had an amazing time photographing for the BOTA group. BOTA (Be On The Alert) was founded by Joey Potter, Pastor Antonio Lara of the Second Nazarene Church in Tecate, and Les Finney (a retired architect who has since passed away). there mission statement: "The B.O.T.A. Project, Inc. is a student mission project, which enhances the emergence of Christian students, youth ministries, and churches to serve our community around the world . Our mission is to serve and place students in fields of service to minister God's love so that people of all nations may be saved. Our focus at this time is on Mexico and primarily the Baja of Mexico/the Tecate Region", (http://botaproject.org). this project meant so much to me, it has reshape my thoughts on mission trips, the prepping, the study of the culture, trying to learn the language, learning to learn from the locals, and most importantly "we" as Americans, aren't always right :) i have just found out, I will be going back to Tecate, Mexico this June from the 13th to 19th :)


 

Tonight, the youth - from the Journey Church [Origins-youth] came out to Westgate Tabernacle and spent time with the children.  The purpose of this trip was simple, just to spend time with the children and leave an physical and visual impact to the family & community, knowing that there is a God out there that does care and loves them more than anyone. Times are extremely tough this year, and it's such a blessing to see young teenagers take there time off from school and focus there time in helping others, I will simply say...any help will help. On another note, I love the Canon 50D!!!  It was basically dark by 6 and the new ISO feature help me out big time :)
