So yesterday started out rough, I woke up at 6:30 to get ready for Rapunzel's photoshoot at 8am, however the entire day ended up being amazing! We did some shots around the Palm Beach area, mainly near the Society for Arts area (if anyone knows where that is). Shooting in the afternoon is pretty intense and challenge, or in general, hard to be creative with INTENSE SUNLIGHT... We got some amazing homepage images, the only thing I'm still trying to figure out is when I shoot in the shadows, why do white clothes turn slightly / have blue in them??? I understand the color temp. drops like crazy, but why does it only affect the white colors. This is probably a basic I learned in school, but will now have to look it up on Google.

last year, I had an amazing time photographing for the BOTA group. BOTA (Be On The Alert) was founded by Joey Potter, Pastor Antonio Lara of the Second Nazarene Church in Tecate, and Les Finney (a retired architect who has since passed away). there mission statement: "The B.O.T.A. Project, Inc. is a student mission project, which enhances the emergence of Christian students, youth ministries, and churches to serve our community around the world . Our mission is to serve and place students in fields of service to minister God's love so that people of all nations may be saved. Our focus at this time is on Mexico and primarily the Baja of Mexico/the Tecate Region", (http://botaproject.org).
this project meant so much to me, it has reshape my thoughts on mission trips, the prepping, the study of the culture, trying to learn the language, learning to learn from the locals, and most importantly "we" as Americans, aren't always right :)
i have just found out, I will be going back to Tecate, Mexico this June from the 13th to 19th :)
